Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between vertical and long image?
Vertical keeps every image at its original size and centres the narrower ones, so nothing is resampled. Long image scales them all to one width and stacks them, which is what you want when capturing a scrolling page across several screenshots.
Why is my exported image smaller than expected?
Browsers cap how large a canvas can be, so very tall or very wide results are scaled down to fit. A warning appears next to the output size when this happens; reduce the number of images or the output width to avoid it.
Where do the polaroid captions come from?
From each file's name, with the extension removed. Names longer than 48 characters are shortened, and captions can be turned off in the settings.
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs locally in your browser — the tool works offline once the page has loaded, and no image ever reaches a server.
